aaahh yes....
dear ol' LJ.

haven't been on in ages. But that is, I suppose because I
generally have nothing exciting (in my mind) to say.

Working hard on paintings for an art show that red_magicmarker *edit cause I'm a dumbass* and
myself are presenting on the 27th of this month.
Should be a roaring good time, if I manage to finish enough
paintings that is! LOL.

I've been pondering a preview of some paintings here on my LJ,
but haven't decided yet.

I'll keep this short, as I've noticed I've been over-zelous with
this being the first hot day here, and managed to give
myself a nasty sunburn on one shoulder!

I think that quarter-life crisis is set in well for me too.
It's hard not to think negatively when you can't see what's ahead.

I hate being stuck as much as you do.

I'm getting frusterated living at home, even though I know I'm making an investment with my cash; I am feeling the desperate need for my own space.

I LOVE you just the way you are.
And chubs? yea right... have you taken a look at my thighs recently? I could crush a man's skull with these! (oops... sorry Jon). Being on the patch has me at a grand ol 192 lbs. Fan-bloody-tastic!

Anyway.... My point is (yes, I think I have one), I think if we just stick together and try and support eachother in this time, we'll make it out ok. We're both creative, I'm sure we'll think of something. Plus, it's hard to be miserable when I've got such a great friend! We always manage to cheer eachother up. Last time we hung out I felt a big weight lifted. I didn't worry about the future for a good 3 days after that. You really helped me feel better about whatever my situation is. I hope I can do the same for you.

I'm also wanting to apologise for what I asked you the other night.
I'm sorry I didn't realise it would make you uncomfortable. I don't want to make you feel that way. I won't ask you again ok? It's my stupid thing and I should deal with it on my own LOL.

A Late Vday Entry

OK!

so I'm glad to see that most of you had a good Valentine's day!
I have no idea why.. but I was really excited about it this year. LOL

Didn't turn out as amazing as it could have been for me... but I'm very happy with what I did get to enjoy :D

I had a 36 hr plus work week.
Valentine's day my hours got switched so I was closing... I didn't get a real break. I think it was about 15mins for a 9hr shift. Plus... I got switched again and had to open the next morning at 7am. Not a happy girl here. Because of the hours and lack of sleep I went to take a nap before class yesterday and ended up sleeping right through my class time. This pisses me off.. just because it's been hard enough for me to find the motivation to do any of my class work at the moment. I'm just too tired with Thrifty's work and with my graphics; yet those are the only things keeping my bank account in the plus atm.

On the plus side, Jon and I had a really good time for the beginning of the day on Valentines. He drove me up to a fancy restaurant on the Malahat (it's a very large mountain that seperates part of the island) for lunch. Great view, good conversation. He makes me laugh. We were talking about how no matter how clear and idiot proof you make a sign, people will still not do as instructed. "Like how people sometimes 'pull' when it says 'push' a door!" I said... well not 10 mins later and he does that!!! I was in tears I was laughing so hard. LOL aaaammmaadork...

Also! he gave me some jewelry! it's so pretty! and he made sure it matched the ring he gave me for christmas a couple years ago!

The earrings and the necklace are new... the ring on the bottom is from christmas... and there is actually a ring that goes with the set,.. but it's getting re-sized at the moment.

I gave my mum a little mini-iris plant in a pot I painted for her and he loved it, which made me happy :D

I also got inspired from painting the pot and challenged myself to paint over the cardboard I was using as a palette! I really like how it turned out:
